On Wednesday 14th July Year 6 pupils from Newton Bluecoat, Weeton St Michaels, Bryning with Warton St Paul's, Kirkham St Michaels, Ribby with Wrea and Weeton primary took part in the annual Gifted and Talented day at Carr Hill High School. The day involved Rock-it ball coaching from Ian Crosby (IRIB Fed) Multi Skills session delivered by Kieran Fletcher (Fundamentals) and other fun sessions on Dodgeball, Rounders and Tag Rugby led by Carr Hill PE staff. The day ended with a Nutrition and Sports quiz, with congratulations going to Joseph from Newton and Louis form Kirkham St Michaels for coming out on top, with a very impressive score.
It was a really enjoyable day and as well as giving the children an opportunity to put their PE and Sport skills and talents into practice, a chance to meet their future teachers (For those that are coming to Carr Hill in September) new friendships were formed, as they worked closely with pupils from other schools.
All of the children were extremely well behaved and a credit to their schools.
A big well done and thank you to all for taking part and to the deliverers, I couldn't have done it without you.
