Welcome to the new Wyre & Fylde School Sport Partnership Website
In 2002, DCSF and DCMS launched the National PE, School Sport and Club Links (PESSCL) strategy and this began to transform the landscape of PE and sport in schools. Through the strategy a national structure has been created which enables more children and young people to take part in a wider range of sports for more time. Recently the programme has been extended to bring together all partners to provide a 5 hour offer to all young people. The partnership are encouraging schools to provide 2 hours of PE within curriculum and an further hour of extra curriulum activities and then the community provide the additional 2 hours beyond the school day.
To help us to deliver the highest level of QUALITY PE & SCHOOL SPORT we have designed our website to manage all the bookings electronically - illiminating the need for booking forms and team sheets.
